MSConfig, or Microsoft System Configuration Utility is a utility to troubleshoot the Windows startup process. MSConfig modifies which programs run at startup, edits certain configuration files, and simplifies controls over Windows services. As part of the base Windows install, MSConfig can be accessed by running ‘msconfig’ on any system on which the user has administrator access.

Important: Put the downloaded file in the c:\winnt\system32\ (c:\winnt\ works also) folder.

NeoRAGEx is the Windows port of NeoRAGE, a Neo-Geo home console/arcade system emulator. Its graphical and sound emulation was considered to be very accurate for the time. However, they have since been easily superseded by the likes of alternatives such as MAME, Nebula, Final Burn Alpha, and Kawaks.

A windows XP boot disk (quickboot diskette) is used to boot into your otherwise healthy XP when your startup files are bad, missing, corrupted, or the MBR is damaged.

While the boot.ini file is technically specific to each machine depending on what partition you have Windows installed on and if you have a multiple boot setup, the majority of pcs have windows on C: in the default folder and are using an IDE hard drive.

Unlike other bootdisks, the quickboot diskette doesn’t care where the 3 main boot files are located, so simply unpacking them to a disk that has been formatted on an XP pc should result in a workable disk for the majority of PCs.
